Business Travel Tips for 2022

If you’re gearing up for a lot of business related trips in 2022 and are searching for valuable pieces of advice which will help you make the most out of your business trips, continue reading to discover a list of business travel tips for 2022.

Make sure to keep up to date with changing travel visa:

As the requirements for international travel visas are constantly changing, it’s a great idea to keep up to date with the latest changes in visa requirements. Which you’ll be able to find online.

Consider using expense management software:

If you work for a business that reimburses you for your travel expenses, it’s a great idea to download expense management software, that will allow you to list all of the expenses such as Uber rides and business meals, which you’d like reimbursed. Even if you run your own business, it’s still well worth using expense management software so that you claim your travel related expenses as business costs, for tax purposes.

Make a spreadsheet with a list of your preferred hotels in each destination:

In order to make booking future trips a whole lot easier, it’s a smart idea to make a simple spreadsheet, that has a list of your preferred hotels in each destination. This way if you stay at a hotel in a great location, which offered great amenities and rooms, you’ll be able to book the exact same hotel again, if you return to the same city for business purposes in the future.

Use ride sharing apps to your advantage:

Instead of hailing cabs on your business trips, it’s a great idea to rely on ride sharing apps such as Uber to get around unfamiliar destinations. As the price is agreed upon before you step foot into your ride and you can order an executive level vehicle, if you want to make a good impression on your clients or business partners. Another advantage of choosing to use ride sharing apps is that if you’re in a rush to get from your hotel to a meeting or from the airport to your hotel, there is likely to be a ride within 3 minutes of your location, that you’ll be able to book quickly.

Don’t take unnecessary business trips:

While in many instances there is a real case for traveling to meet a client or potential business partner in person, in some situations you’ll waste time and money by traveling for business. As in some scenarios it’s perfectly acceptable to do business over a video call. So it’s a great idea to learn when it’s the best decision to travel for business and when you can conduct the same deals, with the same results, from home.

So if you foresee yourself traveling for business throughout 2022 it’s an excellent idea to take all of the valuable listed above, in order to ensure that your trips go as smoothly as possible. Especially if you will travel from one city to the next on a monthly basis.
